When August Bremicker and his sons first started up their own business producing padlocks in the small village of Volmarstein, Germany back in 1924, they would have found it difficult to believe that one day their slogan would work its way around the world. The business, which started out in the cellar of their family home, has blossomed into a corporate group with global operations.

Tireless efforts, innovative ideas, expertise and know-how in development, production and sales are what makes this family business which is managed according to Christian principles the success it is four generations later.

For more than 85 years, ABUS security solutions have been produced at three different locations in Germany in line with the motto 'Security built on quality', and have proven their worth throughout the globe a million times over.

Recent studies by leading market research institutes show that ABUS has been able to further expand its already well-recognised brand and is still the market leader by a long shot when it comes to home and mobile security solutions.
